3. MY DREAM JOB
Hello everyone!!!!
I am currently in the last semester of my visual arts degree. I would really like to make a living from what I do and what I am passionate about, art, specifically painting. I know it's hard to work in this field, because it's very difficult to sell one painting, imagine selling many!!!! That would be amazing. My plan to survive apart from developing my paintings is pedagogy, I find it very interesting to be a teacher, I would like in the future to be a teacher at the university or in a school (hopefully in both to have more money). I am also very clear about one thing: "Society does not expect artists".
For example, to be a teacher you have to study for at least two years, you have to read a lot and be committed to what you want to teach. I feel that the visual arts have helped me a lot to develop as a person and to understand myself. I think teaching these things is essential for society. I have also had some experience, I have been an assistant in art classes in my old school, it was a good experience and currently I am an assistant at the University of Chile of the teacher and visual artist Tomas Fernandez, we teach young people in the first year of the visual arts career.
Well teaching is not free, I hope to earn enough to survive, I think the salary of a teacher is quite minimal and I think it should not be like that, they should earn a lot because the work they do is very sacrificed, I know because my mom and dad are teachers, and they have sacrificed a lot!
i hope you can enter pedagogy in the same university or werever university you like, i really like your paintings
